About Jayne & Stacey

Jayne Bernasconi (owner of Yoga On/Off York)

 Jayne is an E-RYT-500 (experienced registered yoga teacher - 500 hours) through Yoga Alliance and has a Masters of Arts in Dance Education from Columbia University.  She has been a leader in the field of  yoga and dance for more than 38 years and has been teaching yoga since 1988.  She is initiated into the Sri Vidya tradition of the Himalayan Masters and is a Certified Vishoka Meditation® Teacher with the Himalayan Institute.


Jayne has been seen flying through the air (all over the country) with her aerial dance company, Air Dance Bernasconi, from 2000-2020, and is the author of three books on yoga, aerial dance and aerial yoga.  With a love for movement, Jayne cross-pollinated aerial dance and yoga to invent Aerial Yoga BT™ in 2002.  She has completed 11 ParaYoga Master Trainings and has made pilgrimages to India and Brazil to develop her spiritual growth. Jayne is on faculty in the Department of Dance at Towson University (since 2000) where she teaches yoga and aerial dance. Complete CV

Stacey Shapiro (nutrition & health coach)

For as long as I can remember, I loved helping people grow into their true potential. And as I grew up, I began to realize that it all begins with your health. Working out is the easy part, its how you navigate the other 95% of your day. Add in a world of conflicting information, and I knew I had to step in to change things. 


I grew up with an athletic background, but only really began to pursue my love for health and fitness when I walked into my first pole fitness class. I was going to school for the arts and decided to pursue a degree in health sciences, become certified as a personal trainer and nutritionist and continue on with my education as a health professional.


I had my start in Maryland, but now I'm currently living in San Diego where I live with my pup Roxie and my boyfriend Dave. From working as a personal trainer, to competing in bodybuilding competitions, to owning and operating a meal prep me when I say I've seen it all. With over 12 years of experience, I've been able to help hundreds of people build stronger, happier, confident lives through healing their relationship with food and learning the science they need to reach their own specific goals. No cookie cutter plans here! 


With this passion for health, I have been able to help change the lives of others through the education of effective diet and exercise. My goal is to help clients achieve a more holistic view of optimal health and promote ways to prevent sickness and disease through lifestyle changes.
